An award-winning communications professional with more than 10 years experience in media, public relations, writing, design and event management, Marlynn is skilled at helping businesses with a variety of marketing and public relations needs. Her specialty is in working with mama-owned/family-owned businesses - particularly those of the baby & mama, fashion/style, gifts, home decor, and event industries - but she enjoys using her craft to assist businesses of all natures. From developing smashing press kits to coordinating and promoting stylish events, Marlynn uses her ability to craft clever and precise copywriting, her insider knowledge of the media and a keen pulse on trends in your industry to help you reach your target audience. If promotional materials are needed, no need to look for a copywriter and a designer: with Marlynn, you get both! Through her design studio, Event Bliss, she uses her eye for modern design to develop promotional materials such as postcards, brochures, Web sites, posters, business cards and more for the very clients she also helps with public relations needs.

Marlynn currently runs Portland Mamas Inc., a resource and networking organization for mom entrepreneurs. She has served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators as the VP of Promotions/Community Relations; the Board of Directors for the Pearl District Business Association; the inaugural Board of Directors for SIGGRAPH Cascade Chapter; the editorial board of the Pearl Pulse; and on various media committees for the Portland Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She writes a bi-monthly column about life as a parent entrepreneur for Oregon Minority Business, and recently served as a panelist at a local Ladies Who Launch event.

From her office in Portland, Oregon, Marlynn enjoys working with clients throughout the country. She lives in Portland with her husband, son, and Lab Retriever. She received her B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
